BUYER POLICY

OVERVIEW

CURATED is an online destination for thoughtfully curated everyday and luxury fashion. Each item available on our platform is carefully selected and reviewed to ensure quality, authenticity, and timeless appeal.

By purchasing from CURATED, you agree to the Buyer Policy outlined below.

PRODUCT CONDITION & DESCRIPTIONS

All items sold on CURATED are pre-owned unless stated otherwise.

We take care to provide accurate descriptions, detailed imagery, and condition notes for every item. Due to the nature of secondhand fashion, minor signs of wear may be present and are considered part of the garment’s character.

Any significant flaws or imperfections will be disclosed in the product description. We encourage buyers to review all images and details carefully prior to purchasing.

AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEE

All luxury and designer items sold on CURATED are guaranteed to be 100% authentic.

Where required, items may undergo third-party authentication prior to listing. CURATED does not sell counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised goods.

If you have questions regarding authenticity before purchasing, please contact us prior to placing your order.

PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are listed in AUD unless otherwise stated.

Prices reflect item condition, brand value, demand, and market pricing. Prices may change without notice.

Payment must be made in full at checkout. Orders will not be processed until payment is successfully received.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

CURATED ships Australia-wide. Shipping rates and delivery timeframes are displayed at checkout.

Orders are typically dispatched within 2–5 business days of purchase unless otherwise stated.

Once an order has been dispatched, CURATED is not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Due to the nature of second hand and consignment items, all sales are final.

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind, sizing issues, or fit preferences.

A refund may be considered only if:

  • The item received is significantly not as described, or

  • An authenticity concern is verified

Any issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, accompanied by supporting photographs.

SALE ITEMS

All sale and discounted items are final sale and are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange under any circumstances, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

CARE & RESPONSIBILITY

Once delivered, the care and maintenance of purchased items is the buyer’s responsibility.

CURATED is not liable for damage resulting from incorrect handling, laundering, or wear after delivery.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

CURATED is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to parcels once they have been marked as delivered by the courier.

CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this Buyer Policy excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Where a remedy is required by law, CURATED will comply accordingly.

POLICY UPDATES

CURATED reserves the right to update or amend this Buyer Policy at any time without prior notice.

SELLER POLICY

CURATED is an online destination for curated everyday and luxury fashion. We offer a refined resale and consignment service, allowing sellers to extend the life of high-quality garments while contributing to a more sustainable fashion ecosystem.

We accept only authentic, clean, and well-maintained clothing, shoes, and accessories that align with CURATED’s aesthetic and quality standards. CURATED reserves the right to reject, remove, or decline any items that do not meet these standards or align with our brand positioning.

By engaging with CURATED, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below. CURATED reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

FEES, COMMISSION & PAYMENTS

Service fees and commission rates are listed on our website and may be updated periodically.

All applicable fees are payable upfront and are non-refundable.

Submission of items does not guarantee sales.

CURATED charges:

  • 20% commission on all everyday items sold through the platform
  • 30% commission on all luxury items sold through the platform

Net sale proceeds (less commission and any applicable fees) will be paid to the seller’s nominated bank account within 15 days of the end of the agreed selling period.

SELLING WITH CURATED

Sellers submit item details and imagery through CURATED’s online submission process.

All items must be professionally presented — clean, steamed or pressed, and in excellent wearable condition.

CURATED will photograph and list approved items on the platform.

Pricing is guided by brand positioning, condition, demand, and current market value. Sellers will have the opportunity to review and approve pricing prior to listings going live. Each item is assessed based on its condition, relevance, and current secondary market value. As a general guide, resale prices typically fall between 40%–60% of the original retail price, though this may vary depending on brand, demand, and condition.

Condition Scale

New-Brand new, never worn. Original tags and/or packaging.

Pristine-Like new. No visible signs of wear.

Excellent-Barely worn. Fabric, colour, and structure fully intact.

Very Good-Light wear visible on close inspection only.

Good-Noticeable wear, but no major flaws.

Once items are listed, they cannot be withdrawn without prior approval from CURATED. No refunds will be provided for early withdrawal once the selling period has commenced.

CURATED may apply strategic promotions or markdowns to maximise sell-through while maintaining brand integrity.

If unsold items are not collected or a return shipping address is not provided within 24 hours of the end of the selling period, an additional $20 per day holding fee may apply.

UNSOLD ITEMS

At the conclusion of the selling period, sellers may be offered one or more of the following options:

  • Return of unsold items (return shipping fees apply)
  • Extension of the selling period
  • Donation of unsold items to partnered charities or sustainability initiatives

If no option is selected within the required timeframe, CURATED reserves the right to donate or responsibly dispose of the items.

DESIGNER ITEMS & AUTHENTICITY

All luxury and designer items submitted must be 100% authentic. Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorised items are strictly prohibited.

CURATED reserves the right to reject any items suspected of being inauthentic.

Authentication may be required for select designer items prior to listing. By submitting items, sellers confirm all items are genuine and comply with CURATED’s authenticity standards.

Luxury items are subject to a 30% commission upon sale.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

While CURATED takes reasonable care in handling items, we are not liable for loss, theft, damage, fire, water damage, or other unforeseen events.

Sellers warrant that they are the rightful owner of all items submitted and have full authority to sell them. Any sale of stolen or counterfeit goods will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

CURATED retains the right to use images and video content of listed items for marketing, editorial, and promotional purposes across digital platforms.

AGREEMENT

By submitting items or using CURATED’s services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

CURATED reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.
